Making International Trips More Tolerable

Some travelers feel bad and uncomfortable when in a long flight.  There could be many possible reasons for this. Some are not really fond of waiting too long.  Some bring their kids with them, so as much as possible, they want to reach their destination.  Some feel unwell and exhausted  after a long travel. Below are some tips how you can make long flights more bearable.

Make it on time.  To avoid hurrying and forgetting something essential, prepare earlier and get yourself ready ahead of time.  It is advisable to be at the airport two to three hours before your scheduled flight.  This will lessen the possibility of stressful situations like long queues.

Stay hydrated.  Drink a lot, but avoid alcohol and caffeine as they would not really help.  It is recommended to drink the recommended amount of water even before your flight. Water and herbal tea are the best options in order to avoid dehydration.

Bring cash in local currency.  Before going, make sure that you have money in local currency.  You can exchange them  in banks couple of days before your flight or at the airport. After a long flight, you would not prefer standing in the queue just to exchange your money.

Follow your schedule.  If you are going to a destination with different time zone, do not force yourself to adapt to the new time zone.  Just relax and take your time to be able to adapt to your new location.
Keep moving.  As much as possible, make some  movements by stretching your arms and legs.  The safest way to do is by getting up, walking in the aisle and by going to the restroom.

Find entertainment.  If you are anticipating a long flight, try to find means to keep yourself busy.  You can watch a movie or listen to your playlist.  You may also read a good book until you fall asleep.
